  Aquashow is the debut album by singer-songwriter Elliott Murphy. It was reviewed by Paul Nelson in Rolling Stone along with Bruce Springsteen’s The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle under the headline “He’s the Best Dylan since ”, which earned both artists the “New Dylan” tag. When Aquashow was released on CD in it was reviewed by Robert Hilburn in the Los Angeles Times .

  Although often compared to Dylan, Elliott Murphy was actually a Lou Reed acolyte. Lou was the one who helped Murphy get his deal at RCA which resulted in the recording and release of this, his premier album, Aquashow. Hey, you know that phenomenal Velvet Underground LP/disc 'Live '?5/5(3).
